Is my payment safe when I book?
Your payment is held in escrow by our partner TradeSafe and only released to the provider once your session is complete — so you’re never out of pocket for work that didn’t happen.
How are providers checked?
Providers submit five documents — ID, CIPC registration, proof of banking, proof of address and a qualification. Each is reviewed to check it looks like the document claimed, and the details are compared against each other for consistency. We do not confirm documents with the body that issued them, and we do not check whether a licence or registration is still valid. For licensed work — electrical, gas, plumbing, building or a health profession — ask the provider for their registration number and confirm it with the regulator.
What does it cost?
Browsing is free, and your first booking is a discounted intro session secured in escrow. Providers list free — myquack takes a commission only on that first intro booking, and just 1% on every booking after.
